Happy Sunday ya’ll! This week is a big one! With the release of Avengers: Endgame and a re-release of two great horror films on 4K!

  • Detective Comics #1002. DC Comics
  • Aliens: Dead Orbit Oversized. Darkhorse

Now I’ll be honest, I wasn’t a huge fan of Detective Comics #1000, or #1001, (reviews on ComicsBulletin) but i’m always more than willing to give another chance and that’s exactly what I plan on doing with issue 1002. Hopefully it picks up the pace and plot while making me a believer in the arc. When Aliens: Dead Orbit first came out I absolutely loved it, now they are releasing an over sized edition which is something DarkHorse does quite often. So I’m uber excited to see the beauty of this edition.

Film Home Release:

  • Alien: 4K
  • The Witch: 4K

Funny Story, I had pre-ordered Alien 40TH Anniversary 4K the other day at Best Buy who shipped it early meaning I got it while writing this on Saturday (4-20). Now I can watch it on Easter Sunday! The best Easter movie! I watched The Witch when it first came out on Bluray and fell in love with its haunting vibes, overall excellent storytelling and visuals, once I heard it was coming to 4K for only $18 I knew I needed to finally buy it!

In Theater:

  • Avengers: Endgame

Here is the big one folks! Avengers: Endgame is finally here and if you have avoided spoilers then good on you! I’m willing to admit I’m not the biggest fan of the comic book Avengers, even reading different eras of the team I’ve just never been able to get into it, but I did love the hell out of Avengers: Infinity War. So yeah I’m pretty damned excited for this big installment in the franchise, so much so that I’m going to the Thursday night showing even though I should totally be snoozing instead. But alias I am looking forward to the epic 3 hour movie! Hell I may even try a review for it…. maybe.

Video Games:

  • Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen. Nintendo Switch

The excitement for Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen is on par with the level for Endgame for me. Yeah that might sound a little weird but I loved this game when it first came out and it’s re-release on PS4, but I never got far on either due to it being on a home console which I can hardly find time to play for many hours. So it works out perfectly on the Switch where I can use it while traveling and play whenever. I haven’t even played last weeks Final Fantasy: X/X-2 because I want to focus on this game.

Well that’s it for this week folks! Let us know what you are excited for this week!
